Birth Story........
Short~ Piper Elizabeth came into the world at 2:40am weighing 3Lbs 6ozs...apgar was 9/9 and her sister Paytra Josephine came in at 2:41pm weighing 5Lbs 1oz.....apgar was 8/9........I was 34 weeks.
I started having BHC around 4:30 on Sunday they were nothing more then what I had been getting so I didn't think much of them. But then I started getting more of them and they started to hurt alittle, and that continued for alittle awhile slowly getting worse. So at 6:30 I started counting them and I had 9 in ahour so I called the doc and she said to go to L&D to get checked. We got there about 9pm they checked me and I was 3cm and 70% afaced. They said that if I stayed at 3 and didn't change they were going to send me home. But when I was checked at 12:30 I was 4cm 90% so since there was change they were going to deliver. I was wheeled into the OR at 2am, and at 2:40 & 2:41am the girls came into the world screaming away what a GREAT sound that was!!
There both doing really well there in the NICU. The doc said there propley be there for 2 or 3 weeks. Paytra needs alittle help breathing it is really fast but it's getting better everyday it was any where between 90 to 110. but it started going down yesterday and tday it was 60. We are soooo happy she's getting better everyday! She was able to start breast feeding today, it's going to take her a few times to get used to it. She seemed alittle scared when she got the milk. Piper is doing wonderful! She didn't need any help with her breathing. She is breast feeding like a champ and loves the boobie!! She's small butt that's it, she is doing wonderful and I really don't think she'll be in the NICU for as long as they say.
I was discharged today, I'm doing and recovering good. It was so hard leaving them there, I'm praying they come home real soon. DH and I will be there everyday to vist.
I'll post pictures soon.
