Ok so i am definately excited about being pregnant and having a baby soon, but I have been so very tired this past week.  I thought being that tired was making me a bit blue but now I am wondering if it is the other way around.  The weather here has turned cold and dark for the past 2 weeks, which is usually my favorite time of year and type of weather, but I wonder if it could be affecting my mood?  I have a history of depression though I think none since losing all that weight.  Anyone else experiance this?  Any suggestions?  I actually stayed home from work today because I am so exhausted and I am feeling maybe a tiny bit weepy/depressed now, but it isn't bad, just unexpected.

Amanda,
I have been going thru the same thing a little bit the last few weeks (somewhat related to the second MC) but mostly the weather around here is cruddy.

MI is usually beautiful in fall, but it has gone from warm decent to cold windy rainny and no time to enjoy the leaves.  Alergies are up and all that seems to make me a little down in the dumps too.

Dont let it get you down right now, try focusing on the baby, that would be my suggestion, and if you think its getting worse monitor your symptons journal and look thru your insurance and see if you can see a councelor just someone to talk to ...

and hey if you wanna chat your local let me know i can give you my cell number...

Hello,

You are much further along than I am, so I'm not sure we're at the same point. However, I am extremely tired all the time. The fact that I cannot focus on most things to completion frustrates me so although I haven't termed it depression, it has me down a bit. I stayed home yesterday because of the exhaustion and I had some abdominal pressure that worried me. However, I was told at my appt. today that all of the fatique and moodiness are definitely by-products of the hormones during pregnancy. I hope you are able to endure these feelings and get back to the joy of your pending arrival. Take care.

I don't have any suggestions, just wanted to say that you are not alone. Fall is usually my favorite time of year too. I don't know if it is just stress or what but I have been feeling down lately also. I alos have history of depression.

Checkmark for me to.... I'm feeling the same way. Excited about the pregnancy, but moody & blue in general.  Love this time of year, my favorite with the leaves changing, but still down.  Got rainy & lousy weather also.  I have a history of some depression in my past also.

It's comforting to see I'm not alone, and neither are you. =)

You guys are the best.  Thanks for letting me know I am not alone.  I did finally get a call back about my iron test and it was 11.4 (bottom of norm range is 12) so I am thinking that may be contributing to the fatigue and inability to focus as well as making me a bit blue.  I had issues with anemia post-op so I think it is just a bit more then my body can handle right now.  I am going to take it easy and get back on my iron and just baby myself a little (I have an awesome hubby who will baby me too).  I have been a bit down on me for the way I have been eating during this pregnancy and what I've gained so I am sure that doesn't help.  God bless you all!

Amando Jo,
You are definitely not alone! I think I was depressed most of my preganncy with my daughter. Depression sucks. I had a little bout over the summer too. Bottom line- take time off if you need to. Find something that helps. I write in a journal a lot. Sometimes it's more for my anxiety, but I do think it is helpful for me. Maybe there is something like that which may help you cope. Naturally, life can't stop when I am feeling depressed, so finding ways to cope is helpful. But the exhaustion is the worst part about my depression. I feel like all I want to do is sleep or sit on my butt. Then I  feel bad because the house is a mess and I am being lazy. Ah the way the depressed person thinks!! All I can say is that it does start to get better. Good luck! Use the forum to help you cope too- I know we are all here for you!
