How do you dress a 1-yr-old for night-time sleep?

Elijah is 13 months old now.  We don't use a blanket yet because he moves all around the crib and wouldn't keep it on anyway, plus I'm still worried about the safety factor.

Do you use long sleeved/long legged PJs?  Do you use a sleep sack or a flannel footed PJs over other PJs or a long -sleeved onsie?  What temperature do you set your house at night?  Right now we have him in long PJs with a sleep sack and his room is usually 70-72 degrees (and he seems comfortable--not cold or sweaty) but I want to switch him to the footed flannel zip-up thingy.  And where do I find quality ones that won't be unnautral fibers or pill big-time?

This should be easy for me to figure out but it isn't...my DH and I are so different in how we like our own sleep environment that we have to compromise so I can't base it on that.

Josiah will be a year in a few weeks... he is a total sweatbox! We either keep him in regular pj's (and give him a blanket - which never stays on him, it is more for security) or we put him in a pj shirt and use a sleep sack. (too hot for pjs and a sleep sack)  I had no idea they made them that big...LOL

Jennifer,
I know I worried a lot about my daughter being too cold at night. I use the flannel footed PJ's most of the year, except the summer. The Carter's ones are probably the nicest. Sometimes Target carries their branded ones which are just as nice. Gerber is a last resort, mostly because they fit differently. I soon found out that most the time I was overdoing it, and she didn't really need to be so bundeled up- We did always wear a onesie too,the long sleeved kind in the winter. Hope that helps!

My son is almost 2 but at about one we started using pjs...either the one piece with snaps or seperates...I have found them with pants and shorts for the bottoms...depending on the season. There have been times when we just use onesies though. We keep our temp at about 75 or so and if it is too cold/hot just adjust the vents in his room. He does have a small blankie that he keeps with him.

footy jammies, my son is 3 on saturday and he can't for the life of him even stay under a blakent so we have used blanket sleepers, they can be a pain in the butt but they keep him warm, oddly enough my son is also named Elijah. good luck!
