MILK
I haven't read the responses -- so you may have been told this already -- sorry for the repeat.
My brother is a cardiologist and my sister-in-law a Family Doctor and they both say the reccommendation now is no longer whole milk UNLESS the child is underweight.
Keep them on 2% or even skim if there's concern about obesity / heart problems. They probably get plenty of fat in their diet -- and skim milk provides the same protein and calcium, etc.
Childhood obesity , hyper tension and heart problems are on the rise.... my brother said it's alarming. He follows the same rules for his own kids - age almost 3 and 20 months - so I know he's not just spouting some literature he's read !
Take Care!
