I just found out one of my coworkers is pregnant... so now I'm not the only preggie one in the office. DAMMIT!!!! Now I'll have to share the spotlight! Childish, I know.... but still. After one of my friends realized our due dates are only a week apart, she suggested having a joint shower. HELL NO!!! I've attended baby showers for people I barely know in this office for 6 years. I've earned the right to my own damn shower!
Okay, rant over. Back to being a grown up.

I totally know what you're going through. I went through something similar when I found out I was pregnant, two weeks later, my 16 year old cousin found out she was pregnant and due before me - it totally took my spotlight away. There were some bumps in the road but now we both have beautiful new babies to talk about whenever we get the chance.
There were also 4 other sorority sisters that were pregnant at the same time as me. It seems to be in the water, when one gets pregnant, everyone gets pregnant. Just enjoy your pregnancy, don't worry about people at work.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I shared my pregnancy with a co-worker as well. In a very small office, no less. She was 4 weeks ahead of me and she announced her pregnancy and then I HAD to announce mine because my boss offered to train me for my co-workers position while she was out on mat leave and I couldn't accept knowing full well I wouldn't be around either. In Canada we get 1 year mat leave. And we were thrown a joint shower... though it was still really nice. We were taken out for a dinner after work and our co-workers and family were there.
