You and I had surgery around the same time! From what I have been told is... increase your calories, and increase my liquids... increase the carbs. Other than that everything has been great.

Good luck!

Welcome to our corner of OH. There are a few ladies on here who have been or are in similar situations.  No worries. If you haven't started your prenantals do so now (you can pick them up from CVS or Walgreens) this will hold you until you meet with you DR. Schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN as soon as possible to make sure everything is going as needed and to get an accurate due date. It may be helpful to contact your surgeon to see if he has any advice. Is this your first baby ? Just curious, I am expecting my first. Good luck and keep us posted!

Hey there!  I had surgery on Feb. 24th, and got pregnant about 4 mos after surgery.

I've lost 91 lbs.....and I'm doing good so far!  Haven't gained a lot of weight (I'm just about 4 mos. pregnant)

I get hungry and eat like every hour.  I still can't eat huge meals (which is good) but I do get hungry a lot.

Good luck to you!!!  We're in this together girl!!!

You'll be fine!  The key is to make good food choices, stay on top of those vitamins, stay hydrated, rest well and enjoy!

I got pregnant early out with my last one.  4 months after RNY.  I was only able to eat about 900-1000 calories but I still managed to gain 50 lbs and had a 10.5 lb little man.  I lost 42 of those pounds within 2 weeks - just not sure how I gained so much!

This happens almost weekly here.  I worked closely with my surgeon last time.  He had me add 200-300 calories a day at my 2nd trimester, add or switch to a prenatal immediately, and continue with everything else.  I was never considered high risk, I was actually healthier than many of my OB's other patients.

Good luck and congrats to you!!  It will be ok if you are diligent on everything.
