Vitamin Question

Right now I take 2 centrum chewables, 1 B-complex 50, 15 mg of beta carotene (vit A), 1,500 mcg of calcium, 5,000 mcg of biotin, 50mg of zinc, 1,000 mcg of sublingual b-12. Then today I added a prenatal vit as well.
Is there anything else I should add? I added it up and between all the vits I'm getting about 2,000 mcg of folic acid. Did I need to add more?
When I write it all out it seems like a lot, but It's pretty easy now that it's habit.

Either I take too little or you take too much? I take 1 pre-nate and 4-6 chewable calcium per day.

I'm anxious to see what the responses are. My OB doesn't have much experience with "us".

I only take ONE centrum chewable, 1000 mcg of sublingual b12, 500 mg of chewable vitamin C.   Then 630 mg's of calcium citrate 3 times a day.   I then take a prenatal and 800 mcg of folic acid at bedtime.   I think if you are taking 2 centrum chewables a day you should be fine to not add a prenatal but that's just me, did you check with your doctor about adding the prenatal?   I had labs done at a year out and my vit levels were all perfect.  But each individual has to take what helps their labs be up to what they should be, so maybe you need those 2 centrums and a prenatal.

I read somewhere that if you get too much Vitamin A each day, it can be harmful to a growing fetus, so you have to be careful to not take too much of a particular supplement or vitamin!!  But it looks like you are doing fine!  My doc also said to have vitamin blood levels checked every 3 months during the pregnancy too.

Hit goal weight of 140 at 13 months out from RNY!! 130 pounds GONE!

Christie is right about the Vitamin A.  You don't want to go over 5,000 IU's a day or it could be harmful to the fetus.

As far as everything else, I think you're getting plenty.  I would just double check to make sure your not taking too much of something such as the Vit A.  Most often, your body will get rid of what it doesn't need.

from my understanding VIT A in beta carotene from is safe because you pee our what you don't need. I know there are other forms of vit A that are harmful, but I will double check to be sure. Thanks for your replys.
