Last night I started bleeding and lost the baby. I was only 6 weeks. While we weren't planning this baby, we were still very excited to be pregnant again after the loss of our stillborn baby girl almost 2 years ago.
I had never experianced a miscarriage before. I didn't even have a doctor line up yet. Is there anything in perticular I have to see a doctor for?

I'm sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. As for what you need to see a doc for, I think it's important to have an exam and make sure that you have miscarried everything. If you retain any parts of the placenta, etc you can end up with a bad infection. I would call and make an appt to see someone asap to just be sure your body is in good shape. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss.  I would feel more comfortable seeing a Dr. to check me out.  I dont know if there is a necessity, but personally I would go.  Did you go to the ER when you started bleeding? Because even with bleeding there could still be a pregnancy there...A friend of my hemoraged more blood than I have ever seen when she was 7 weeks ( I mean it soaked throught  to the car seat) and they did an ultrasound and there was a beautiful heartbeat and she had a healthy baby boy.  They have no idea what caused the hemmorage...they thought maybe a subchrorionic bleed, but anyway, that is just an example.  Blessings to you.

I am very sorry you are going through this. I agree with the pp you need to be examined by a doctor.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I understand what you are going through, because I had my first miscarriage this past March 2009.  Although it was very difficult to deal with I found out that I was pregnant again 6 weeks later.  God always has a plan for you!  You will be blessed with your beautiful angel at the right time. Stay strong!

So sorry for both the losses. I miscarried at 6 weeks in July and saw a doctor during it. I had blood levels checked to make sure I got back to 0. Good luck with TTC again.

I have had 2 miscarriages in the last 4 months and both of those did not require an exam i just had an HCG test done about 1 week after to see if my levels went back to zero.
I am very sorry for you loss it is a horrible boat to be in.
