Teething and fevers?

Hi everyone. I need some ideas or something...
My daughter is 11 months old and has had a crudy runny snotty nose the past week and half or so. I took her to the doctor because the drainage was yellowish green and I figured it was some viral thing. Doctor prescribed an antibotic Omnicef. She has to take it for 10 days and she's been only on it for 5 days. After a few days, the drainage stopped, but now it has started up again. And now she had a 102.4 fever this morning. So, now I have her on Tylenol for the fever. I would have *thought* that the antibotic would knock the fever out, but I guess not. So, now I'm wondering what the heck is wrong with her?? Could it be teething? If it is, does the fever usually get that high?? I'm not sure what is "normal" for a fever due to teething. Any thoughts?? We were just at the doctor so I would hate to call them back if it turns out to be just teething.

I think my DD is teething now.  No fever yet, but her gums are really swollen.  Does your DD have swollen gums?  This teething thing is driving me crazy!  I can see the teeth under her gums, but she doesn't have any of the classic symptoms like the runny nose and fever that your DD has.  I would think that 5 day of the antibiotic would knock the temp out.  Who knows!  Has her fever gone down?  I read so much contradicting things about teething.  I would call the doc if the temp is still high.
good luck!
