What schdual did you follow? Did you delay? If you delayed, what did your schedual look like?

I have to plan out our scheudal before our two month appointment, and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure it all out LOL

We followed (are following) the recommended schedule given to us by our pediatricians office.  We thought about possibly delaying the MMR, but we ended up not doing that.

No one is going to be able to tell you what to do.   This is such a personal choice.   I will say that we refused the flu vaccines and I will refuse the Gardisil vaccine for Dylan when the time comes.

Ditto to what Julie said. We followed what the pedi recommended.  We also refused both types of flu vaccines.

We are on the delayed schedule for Noah and will be for Gabe as well.  We will begin vaccines at 2 years and giving only 1 every 6 months.  We will not be doing the MMR, if I can find a doctor who will order them separately then we will give them those.  Once they are 4 and we can gage where they are be may pick up the speed of vaccines but never more than one at a time.

I have Coop on a delayed schedule.  I am following Dr. Sears schedule which ultimately vaccinates fully but spreads them out to never get more than two at a time.  I thought it was a good compromise.

I was worried his doc would give me a hard time - but no problem!  He said a lot of parents are going that route.  On the months when I just need a vaccine I make a "nurse appointment" and they already have my schedule on file and know what we're there for... .it's easy!

I wish they made the MMR seperately, but don't in this country (any more).  My doc said he's heard rumors they may start again... .used to be you could order them, but not any more.

The schedule below lays out how you'd do the vaccines if you could get the MMR seperate -- but if I can't I have to figure out where (or if) to do the MMR.

I need to look up what school requirements are here.... and if you can sign a waiver.

Info Below:

Dr. Bob's alternative schedule spreads the shots out, limits babies to two shots at each visit, begins with protecting babies from the most serious diseases right away, and delays a few of the less important vaccines (for diseases that a baby can't catch****il the second and third year of life, instead of grouping all vaccines together right at the start.  This allows parents, who would otherwise refuse all vaccines, to get their babies protected, and helps protect our nations as a whole by raising vaccination rates among worried parents. Dr. Bob worries that the AAP's close-minded campaign to discourage this option will back-fire and leave even more babies unvaccinated.  But by allowing worried parents to vaccinate in a manner they feel safer about, everyone wins!

I agree with Julie....it is a very personal decision....

I have a lot of medical professionals in my family and after talking to my pedi, I am on the typical non-delayed schedule. Nathan has been a champ....only one visit he got a fever afterwards.

EDIT: Nathan will be getting both flu and H1N1 due to his respiratory issues....he was diagnosed with asthma last month

I don't like that they are making you decide NOW what you want the next 5 year schedule to be.  I wouldn't like that at all personally.

Jordan had all of his on time and in order.

Kaida didn't.  She hasn't had and will not be getting her varicella vax at all.  She JUST got the MMR this spring (she was 2.5 years old).  the others we spaced out and she only ever had one at a time.

Its my understanding now that the MMR is no longer offered seperated in the united states.  I was holding out for that and the 3 doctors I went to all said the same thing.  Dh asked for her to finally have it so I gave in and she did.  had HE not wanted it, she still wouldn't have it.

Luken will have his VIt K at birth I think but that is it and I haven't quite decided how I want his spread out yet.

Mandy, Mom to Jordan (5), Kaida (3) and Luken (born 12/5/09) Army wife!   HW:351 / SW: 328 / CW:149/ Goal weight...what is that?

I haven't delayed, we've been right on the pedi's schedule.  She also received the flu vaccination last year and will get one this year too.

Both Joey and now Zach are on the normal schedule.  We will all do the normal flu vx but not the H1N1.
