Thanks everyone for checking on me.

I'm fine...the earthquakes (3 now) are hitting the island just to the north of my island (I'm on Java Island...they're hitting Sumatra). Sorry I didn't check in...one of my home computers is in the 'hospital,' so my DH is on the other one and I have a hard time sneaking in.

Funny things are falling apart left and right when I'm getting ready to skip the country. I have always told my friends to come see me here...in the land of 'bird flu, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, sinking ferries and crashing airplanes,' with the recently added bonus of the terrorist attacks...no one's come to visit...but it seems like we're doing our best to experience as many of these things as we can before we go. It's been quiet for almost three years...NOW everything's happening?!

LOL...they gave me the bonus up front just to come here...no bonus if I'd have extended. As much as things are hitting back to back here...it's more than time to get out before the big shoe drops.

As bad as the earthquakes are here...I can't help but think that the tsunami in Samoa is worse. Those people didn't even have a chance to get to high ground - not that there's a lot of high ground in some of those islands - and who knows how many were swept out to sea. I sometimes wish I had some sort of training to be able to volunteer to go out and help in some of these disasters.

No kidding...we had some bad flooding two weeks ago here in GA (after a drought last year) and it was miniscule (sp) compared to the other disasters worldwide but I cant even imagine my house being flooded out too.....

I really am VERY thankful you are okay...and as Julie said "NOW GET OUT" :)
