Ugh

Hey, he is just adorable.  We had the same problem with Jackson and my pediatrician recommended 1 tsp DARK caro syrup to 4 oz formula.  We would do that in every bottle if he was severely constipated and then we did it in one bottle a day until he was regular, then if we noticed him struggling, we would do it in a bottle as needed.  Hope this helps.

We had extreme problems with constipation with MacKinnon from right when he was born until about7-8 months of age. Poor little guy seem to never be able to go. So after numerous calls to the pediatrician, we got the advice to put a couple ounces of prune juice into his formula. Worked like a charm! We also tried the Caro syrup but it wasn't a huge success in our case, he needed a little something more. We always had a bottle of prune juice in our fridge after that and so did both my mother and mother-in-law for when he stayed with them. The morning after a prune juice dose, he was a MUCH happier baby I hope you find something that works for you!

Hannah was a couple of months older, but we used watered down prune juice.   I also tried the Karo syrup, but the juice seemed to work better.  I didn't know that pedalyte would work.  I'll make sure to try that if baby boy has trouble going.

Awww Shuana I cant believe he is 8 weeks already!! He is a cutie!!! Lola has alot of trouble pooping when she was tiny. Enema were out best friend for a while. I would say if it helps to keep doing it!!!  He sounds like he is doing awesome though!!! Congrats momma your doing a great job!
