34 Week Update
Hi Ladies--
Today I had my weekly OB appointment and then my weekly trip to the hospital for my Non-Stress Test. All and all, everything is still going along smoothly.
Baby Boy is now approximately 5 lbs., 5 oz. (45th percentile) and is scoring well on his bio-physical profile. My amniotic fluid level is still good. My urine was fine, my BP was 110/70 and my total weight gain is 22 lb. at this point. I have been working at it every day....and it has been difficult, especially with my hypoglycemia going into overdrive more often as this pregnancy progresses. At this point, I MUST eat every 1.5 hours...I can't leave the house without multiple snacks stuffed in my pocketbook (Soy nuts, Ka****LC bars, etc.) and/or a protein drink in my hand. I wake up at night to have a snack as well...usually just a tablespoon of PB or an apple or some random thing I grab from the fridge.
I did have my OB examine me, as there has been vaginal irritation and some rectal discomfort even though there don't seem to be hemorroids. Turns out I have a mild yeast infection and some skin irritation in my ass-crack. Nice, eh? I've only had 1 yeast infection ever...and that was earlier in this pregnancy due to a course of antibiotics. So, now I have my second. Nothing a little ointment and Preparation-H can't handle.
By the end of this week, my goal is have have the car seat and base installed in my husband's car and my hospital bag packed. (Still waiting for my new car...so no car seat in my car just yet.) My husband and I will be beginning the nursery this weekend. (I'm still completely shocked we've waited this long, but time has been VERY limited around here!)

Wow...I can't believe you can almost count how many weeks left on one hand! Time has flown. I'm glad that things are going well and that a yeast infection is the worst thing going on. You've done an excellent job controlling your weight gain if you are having to eat that often...good job keeping healthy snacks on hand just for that purpose.

Your time is fast approaching -- very exciting ! Cooper is over 3 months old and just now started taking naps in his crib. We do use his room to change his diapers (usually) but otherwise he's never in his room.....
So, even though you'd think a nursery is the most important thing.... a lot of times babies don't spend much time in their room until they are older!
Glad everything else is going well !!

Glad baby boy is doing well! Sorry you are "baking bread" though (as we call it here). I completely know what you mean about starting the nursery...we just started this week too. I'm so big though that I can't do much and have a gazillion contractions no matter what I do.
You'll have to post pics of the room when you are done!!
