Tide has a free and clear version for HE..front loading washers.  I personally hate laundry soap that doesnt have some scent...but it got the babys clothes A++ and Zout for stains.  Love it.  But once I know the baby isnt sensative to the soap (being against us, etc) I switch, usually 6 months.  Good luck..and cant wait to see the nursery.

I was given a bottle of baby all with Jordan. used it til it was gone and went to our normal stuff.   he's alive and kicking.

I was given a bottle of dreft with Kaida, used half of it, and then switched to our normal stuff, she's evil but alive.

We won't even be bothering with it with this one unless he shows skin issues.  I see no reason to switch stuff up myself.

I started out using dreft just as a precaution.  I didn't want her breaking out on the way home from the hospitial.    After a couple of weeks I washed a couple of her onesies in with our clothes.   I put those onesies on her and checked her compulsively for a rash.    She didn't have any trouble.   We used Tide (scented), downy, and bounce dryer sheets at the time.  Since then we have switched to Sam's club brand of laundry detergent (which is also for HE's).
How are you feeling?   Around 34 weeks is when I started getting uncomfortable.

I wouldn't stock pile any detergent. Just my opinion. What if you stock pile something that irritates the baby's skin? Then you are screwed.

Unless...... you stock pile something that would be usable for your own clothes.

I don't and never did wash my kids clothes in anything different than my clothes are washed in. Unless you child has an allergy, I think it's just a money scam to buy "baby" detergent.

Again, just my opinion.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
