Remember Me???
Hi Everyone, remember me???
I'm back and guess what... I'm just over 8 weeks pregnant!!! I haven't been around in a while for one reason or another, but I figured that now was the best time to come back and get to know everyone again!
Matt and I recently found out that baby #3 is on it's way. We've essentially been trying to have another baby since Mack was born last year. After taking breaks here and there for different things, we got back to trying in May. We were very excited to find out last month that the BDing took this time! We had our first vaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks along and we saw one baby with one little heart beat My next appointment/ultrasound is in a couple of weeks when I should be around 10 weeks along.
I saw someone's post from a little earlier about naseau. Oh my goodness, have I been sick! Up-chucking everywhere I go. And I can so relate with the poster as my house is a complete disaster from lack of being able to do anything but chase my little munchkin and hover over the toilet gagging. It's gotten so bad, I'm considering flying my sister-in-law in from Florida to Maine to stay with me for a few weeks until I start feeling better. Taking care of a 14 month old, running a house-hold, and opperating my own at-home-business is just impossible at this point without some help! Is this the norm? Should I be able to handle all of this? My mother seems to think that I'm being a big baby, she says she did it so why can't I. But I just feel like I'm dying! What do you all think?

Congrats! : )
If it helps you, then I say fly your sister out. Do I think you can do it on your own.....absolutely. You are going to have to do it when she leaves, so I say just motor on through. If you are barfing to the point where you cannot care for your child, well that's a different story.
I have twin 1 year olds and I am just over 26 weeks pregnant. I have my good days and my bad days, but I just do what needs to be done. I don't have a maid, I don't have a nanny, and I don't have friends and family close by that I can call upon. My husband is a great help when he gets home from work, but I do it on my own.
Give it a week and then reevaluate then.

Welcome Back Darcy!!! So excited to see you are expecting a little one!!! I know I had horrible naseau and morning sickness in the beginning and this is my first so I could not imagine doing it with a 14 month old, household to run, and the at home business...I would be calling in reinforcements too!!! You don't have to be supermom!
Feel better soon!!!

Hey Darcy,
Welcome back girl, and a great big congratulations! How exciting to be expecting again. And you're feeling good after the PS (other than ms)?
I know you remember me suffering through Hyperemesis, as did Angie. It sucked to have 2 kids to care for, a home, a home-based business to run and then be put on bedrest. I remember some days not knowing how I was going to function. But I did.
Everyone is different and if help is available, then why be a hero and go without? If I had someone that could have stayed with me, I'm sure I would have taken them up on the offer. Even if you can have someone watch your little one for a few hours so you can rest, I'm sure it would make a difference.
That first trimester can be really tough. Hopefully the sickness going will peak in a few weeks and you'll return to your normal color LOL.
Hugs,
