Benadryl??
Me again - Benadryl is OK to take during pregnancy right? I went to safe fetus and it said "un rated" but I remember someone saying that Tylenol PM is ok and that is just Tylenol with Benadryl. My allergies (or a head cold) are KILLING me and I'd like to take something at night to help them clear out.
Thanks!
Thanks!
It was always on my list of OK meds. I don't recall if I ever had to use it because I don't get allergies, but it was one of the ones I was allowed to use if needed.
Good luck Liz........I know your allergies have been kicking your but this last week. I hope you get relief and feel better soon!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Careful with how much you take tho. At least, if you are more sensitive to meds since surgery. I took 2 to try to avoid itchy legs when i went out walking once, i was dizzy by the time i got home and took a 3-hour nap. I guess I should've only taken 1 capsule or got the tablets and taken a 1/2 of one. HTH and feel better!

Hi Liz, looks like you already got your answer, but I just asked my OB about this last week so I thought I'd chime in as well. It is ok to take. I take two everynight to sleep in replace of the meds I was taking before pregnancy to sleep. The OB would prefer that I only take 1 at night rather than 2, but either way, it's still ok. Hope that helps!

After research and my OB's knowledge and support, I actually took Benadryl for insomnia when it got really bad (sometimes two to three times a week). After not being able to fall asleep for hours, waking frequently and sometimes staying awake for hours during the night, and then waking early, we thought it was better that I sleep five or more hours straight versus only for two or three total for the night.
