I am probably being a bit freaked out and pregnant but it seems to me the baby is moving a lot less and when she does move it seems very light.  This has been the last day so not THAT long.  Is it possible she just turned in a direction I can't feel so much?  I am 24 weeks pregnant and have a posterior placenta.  Thoughts?

With a posterior placenta I think  you should be able to feel her pretty good.  If you are worried...please call your OB.  My OB was very good about letting me "stop in" for a check when I felt the baby was moving less...of course as soon as I got to her office my belly was dancing around like a crazy girl!! I didnt care...I would prefer to be sure everything is ok!!

I was always told to dink some water and lay on my left. I beleive you are suppose to feel at least ten kicks in an hour. I would call your OB, they can tell you for sure.

I've got an appointment Wednesday morning and i plan on asking about it then.  Thanks for the advice!  I am glad to know I am not alone.

I dont feel my baby girl as much anymore but when I do she sure lets me know she is there. I know with my first son though he never moved a lot. All babies are different though. Just make sure to do kick counts and I realise now also that they get in to more sleep and awake patterns around now also. :)

Kick counting doesn't really start until 27 weeks or so.  But I know how freaked out one can get when their little ones aren't as active.  I was that way too.  I've noticed that one will be active one day, and the other another day.
Drink some ice water, or a cookie - something sweet, or even soda.  That might perk her up!  If not, I'd definitely ask at your appointment.

Good luck,
Sandy

Hi Amanda,

You are just a week behind me and I noticed some decreased activity also, just not the flips anymore, more tough kicks. I went to this website and now count kicks and it really helps to ease my nerves. The kick count chart starts at 24 weeks. Below is the link :) Take Care,
