Weight gain/loss post pregnancy
Hello,
I have the lapband, I was pregnant earlier on in the year and miscarried. I had a defill to allow more food to get to the baby and just found it hard to tolerate protein. With the hormones kicking in I was always hungry...I could not stop eating. Not because I was head hungry because I was literally starving. As a result I gain 30 lbs in 30 months.
I am considering the gastric bypass (have a consult in Detroit this week) and wanted to know the following so that I can make an informed decision:
1.What the experience like?
2,Did you feel constantly hungry?
3. How much weight did you gain after the pregnancy?
4. Were you able to lose the weight post pregnancy?
5. If so how much and how long did it take to get it off or is it still there?
6. Did you wait the 1.5-2 years or did you get pregnancy earlier?
7. Any complications as a result of the bypass?
Any feedback is appreciated.

I had Lap RNY 1/21/2009. We got pregnant by complete accident.
1. The surgery went perfectly and I had no complications. I am currently down 149 pounds and counting.
2. I never really felt all that hungry until I got pregnant and into my 2nd trimester.
3. I have not gained any weight yet. I am 28 weeks. I am still slowly losing.
4. n/a

6. We got pregnant by accident (happy accident) at 2.5 mo post op.
7. No complications what so ever! Baby is perfect. They are keeping a very close eye on baby and me but I am not considered high risk.
