Warmer than usual and labored breathing at 4 weeks pg.

Since I had Gastric Bypass I stayed cold. I even slept under an electric blanket throughout the year - till I found out I was pregnant.

Now, i'm 4 weeks pregnant and am always HOT and my breathing seems to be a little labored. Is it just because my body is working so much harder than before - making a home for my little "Coco"?

Anyone else experience this so early out? Is it something I should be concerned about? I go to my first OB appt. 10/06.

TIA,
Cathie

Those are all normal!  I was always cold but then when I got pregnant I was always hot.  It also seemed like it was harder for me to catch my breath and it just got worse as I got bigger and bigger!

Hey Girlfriend...

FIRST of all, I must have missed that you got a BFP....WOOOOO HOOOOO...so happy for you...how wonderful.....I cannot wait to celebrate with you over the next nine months.....

Anyway, I have ALWAYS been hot even after WLS and it got worse being PG...I was wearing sandles still in Oct and Nov last year...but like Tracie said I have heard it is normal....

Congrats again!!!

xoxo

PS We really have to have a GA get together....are you able to do anything this month?

I JUST found out this past Wednesday, 30 minutes before I was schedule for exploratory surgery - literally! I'm floored. I'm either super bloated or have 2 in here. But I have nothing to compare this pregnancy to; I was over 200 lbs my first!

If you mean Sept. then i'm out but I could probably do it for October (as long as it's not the 2nd weekend).

Just let me know.

Yeah, my Bariatric surgeon who is also my boss thinks I have an internal hernia. It's been giving me trouble for almost a year now but only recently has gotten intolerable (i'm very hard headed).

So, I took a pregnancy test, it was negative, and I decided it was time for surgery to fix this problem. Lo and be-hold I got my little miracle the day of surgery.

They (surgeon and OB) are keeping  really close eye on me and if we do 'have to' do surgery they want to wait till after the 1st trimester.

It's normal.  The shortness of breath is due to the increase of progesterone and the temp thing is also normal.  I still have both of those problems, but they got a LOT better.
