Doctor Finally Called

Okay so the doctor did finally call, she appologized for being busy and I understand she in a practice by herself but that is the responsibility you take on when you take your own practice, any way I digress.....

Results are basically as this my progesterone level was fine the whole time so that is not a worry as far as she is concerned.
my HCG was 18 then went to 44 good news then yesterday was 16 (bad news lol)

So I am forsure having another MC

She did however tell me that she wants me to obtain a referal to a High risk OB and that she will call and schedule the appointment I just need to ensure thru my PCP that I can go see her before the appointment.  So I am going to go that route aparently now I am high risk....

So my question is have any of you had to deal with going the high risk route?  What did it entail?  So far I have been told testing but thats it...

Amanda- I am really sorry.  I worked with a high risk that was associated with a reproductive clinic.  I had u/s , we looked at DH sperm counts, discussed my history (PCOS), how my periods had been (regular since WLS) , etc.  I was scheduled for a hysto--something where they run dye through to check if your tubes are clear---but my pregnancy happened before the test..(I tease me threatened everything into working) They have been the best - I would say when you become pregnant again- they will do lots of test...and well- I was told all my levels were fine too (when I m/c)- but they haven't been with my next two pregnancies.  Some Dr's believe different things, i.e. some believe progesterone supplements help, so believe they do nothing, some won't / don't even look at a progesterone number.  Again- I am sorry, and I am sending positive thoughts and vibes for you.

I'm sorry Amanda.  I truly wish the news were different.  If there's anything I can do for you...even if you just want to vent...please let me know.

The dr I see here in Jakarta is more a fertility specialist than high risk OB.  When I went back to the U.S. for a conference a little over a year ago, I saw an RE and they did a lot of blood work, then I had more blood work done in Singapore about 6-7 months ago.  Basically the main things they start looking for are things like Lupus, check your thyroid, some genetic testing for you and DH, and blood clotting disorders - which I have at least three, if not four of (one test comes up w/a fourth one, but when the same test is done elsewhere it came up negative)  - just to see if that's something they need to address.  I know I was told that 'usually' the drs don't start ordering tests until you've had three mc...but if your dr's willing...try to insist they do all the tests they need to do NOW w/o having to wait and go through this again, if there's truly something that can be pinpointed as causing it to happen.

I won't waste your time quoting statistics to you about the chances of it happening again, blah blah blah...because at this point...I'm sure you could give a rat's ass...and to be honest...I don't care for them either, because they're wrong on all counts with me.

Please know you're not alone...and I'm here for you (as are so many others) if you need to talk.

I am just not sure how you go thru the pain over and over and over again with out just hating everything... This time I am soo ANGRY..

My OB is making me an appointment with the high risk OB so I am assuming that when I get to see her I will ensure that Aaron is there and we start testing right away... Obviously these were planned pregnancies and I would like to address the problem and start finding a solution that will allow me to hopefully have a child

Amanda - I 'm so sorry. I have been wondering about you all day long.

Are you seeing a High Risk or a RE? They will run many tests. They will run your history as well as your husbands.

You are in my prayers!
