OPK ?

So I start OPK testing on day 10, knowing that I O around CD16-CD17, well today is day CD17, I tested at 4:45PM (on CBE digital) and got the smiley face , so I tested again at 9:40PM, figuring that I would see the smiley face again---well I didn't.
 
Is this normal? Any insight would be helpful...

Hi, yes, it is my understanding that it is normal. It could be that you were catching the tail end of the surge. Or it could be you drank more between 4:45 and 9:40 or that there just wasn't enough of the level to be detected at that time of the evening.
