So my OB says my GB scan is normal. I'm still in major pain(tears) and now have a fever that keeps coming and going. My sister's GB was nasty infected and she never had an abnormal scan. So far, I have been to the ER, talked to my OB and the nurse at the bariatric center(my referral is out there so I have to wait on another one)I am not a baby about pain. I feel like they're telling me it;s all in my head. The nurse at the OB's said she'd going to tell her about the fever thing and see what she says.

So evidentally I'm insane.

Okay--so it turns out that no one even checked my urine at the ER and OB doubts they even looked at my kidney scan. She's gonna get her hands on it and take a urine culture on me. She has ordered me to take vicoden and says it is safe for the baby. It still freaks me out a little but I haven't slept since Saturday(more than 20 min) because of the pain and she's afraid that will effect the baby more.

So we are back to the kidney infection theory and oddly enough the last time I peed only a little came out and it burned like heck....I don't I've ever been so relieved to have THAT sensation.

I seriously see some antibiotics in my future.

Thank you so much for your thoughts. I love you all so much.

Glad it's not your GB?  Sorry they think you're insane!

Listen, I'm the biggest neurotic freak when it comes to taking pills when pregnant.  I will not even take Tylenol.    If I were in your shoes, woman, I would be taking the Vicodin.

Don't feel bad in the slightest taking it either.

Hopefully they figure out what the heck is going on with you.

OMG!! I went through this same thing when I was preg with my daughter!! No one believed me.  I kept seeing blood in the toilet and when I wiped and the midwife I saw checked my Vagina and said there is NO SIGN OF BLOOD, and insisited that I was looking for attention...I FINALLY spiked a fever after like 4 days of INTENSE pain and was sent to the ER where they were trying to convince me I was in pre-mature labor...My OB and a perinatologist came in and they decided to do a CAT scan because my fever was 103.2 and ran a bunch of tests to see "where could this infection be coming from?"  HELLO....Major kidney infection!! That was where the blood in the toilet was coming from...not my vagina!! I was in the hospital for 5 days on IV antibiotics.  Baby was fine...thank God...almost 7 years old now.  Be an advocate for yourself...no one else will!! Feel better!! Prayers are with you and your baby!!

Hope that the pain meds help and you can get some sleep and relief. Also hope that they can get you an answer and feeling better SOON!

Do you have someone back with you now - hubby or Mom?

I'm almost certain the culture will confirm that I have a kidney infection that is now traveling down my urinary tract. Dave is home and working from home until I get better. My mom went back to her house for now.

Thanks so much for all the support. I wouldn't be able to make it through without all of you.

P.S. meds are helping a lot. Kinda shocked I'm not passed out.

So glad your OB got back to you!!!  I hope it can all be cleared up with some antibiotics.  And I've had many friends on vicodin while pregnant...so far, nothing too weird with their kids.  LOL.

GOOD LUCK!!

Good news that it's not the GB but that is awful that you are still sick.  I am betting you know your body the best!  I have had nasty, nasty infections (while in the process of passing kidney stones) and I tell you that pain, and the pain of the stones- is something that could drop King Kong.  I sure hope it all is resolved ASAP.
