Hi Everyone...new to group
I'm Sarah. I've mostly been lurking here. I'll be one year out on 10/1 and excited to try to conceive baby number 2. My daughter just turned four. So far, I've lost 124 lbs. I'm at 172...my goal was/is 150. I'm working out like crazy and eating right but the scale won't seem to budge. I'd like to lose at least another 10 before I get pregnant. I'm waiting to get my 1 yr lab results. If everything is good, I'll be visiting my OB to get started on prenatals and the go ahead to conception.
I'm really excited and a bit scared. I'm really happy at the weight I'm at right now but the pregnancy weight gain scares me. I gained 50 lbs with my daughter and was never able to lose it. I know I'm a different person now with a positive attitude but the old, less confident me is a bit hesitant. My husband knows I'll do better with this pregnancy and I won't make the same mistakes I did last time....but it still remains in my mind. I've come so far, I don't want to undo what hard work I've done in the past year.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I look forward to getting to know all of you better.

Welcome Sarah! Congratulations on your weight loss! I hope you are able to reach your TTC goal as soon as you can. Don't worry about the weight gain as long as you keep the good healthy habits you had during your weight loss even with eating a few more calories you shouldn't undo all your hard work. Some of the other ladies here talk about gaining 50 or more lbs and losing after the pregnancy. Don't worry too much but once again welcome aboard!!!
336lbs 6/19/06 - 198 lbs - 6/19/10 138 lbs gone forever!!!
We have our miracle: Jakob Makhi born 4-15-10; 4 lbs. 10 oz. 22" long.
Well congrats on your success so far. Its scary to think about scales going back up but as long as you eat well and keep with what you are doing now you should do fine. I wish you good luck when you start TTC!! Good luck!! Welcome to the board!!

Welcome. I just wanted to say that I post a TTC post on fridays for the girls here trying. Feel free to join in. Also, you can start prenatals now....or at least add folic acid to your vitamin regimen. My first post op pg I gained 70 pounds! This one only 12 so far. A lot of it has to do with hormones, but it also has to do with staying committed to your healthy eating style. Just remember that when you become pg it is important to incorperate good carbs into your diet as ketosis is bad for baby. Anyway, congrats on the wl and keep us posted. Shari
