Lucas is 6 weeks old today! HOLY COW! He is doing wonderful, I am completely in love with him, his smile makes me melt into a big puddle!

I had my 6 weeks post op today all is perfect! The best news of all is that I weigh 2lbs less today than when i started there!! WOOHOOO! So that is 42lbs gone in 6 weeks, don't know how it happend and am certainly not even going to question it!!

Now to worry about my thin uterus and decide if we should call it quits on babies and just count our blessings (which I do) or go ahead and plan to get hubby snipped! I think I want to wait a while and just use protection because I am just not ready to make this decision but I am also wondering if anyone else has been told they have a thin uterus? My OB says he is not saying I can't get pregnant only that it is "risky" but can be okay with the proper monitoring but it scares me. When I am so undecided I always like to hear other opioions!

So thank you if you are still reading as I am rambling a bit :-)
TIA
Hugs

Beth,
Great job on the weight loss!   I can't believe Lukas is 6 weeks already.   I think you are doing the right thing by not doing anything permanent.   You need to be 100% sure that your family is complete or you may always regret it.

Thanks Dawn, I am sure you will get those last 10 off! Now I have to focus on getting back to goal which I never made! It's always something right! I am not going to stress over it though because I am happy to be back here to start!

I am not calling quits but I did have a friend ask me if I wanted to be like Michelle Duggar and hmmm NO!

HUGS!

Great job on the weightloss!!  I wouldn't know what to do in your thin uterus situation....I am shutting down this factory after the twins are born!  :-)  PINK SLIPS FOR EVERYONE IN THIS BABY FACTORY!  lol.

Again, congrats and I can't believe he's already SIX weeks old!  WOW!  That went fast!

Beth,

When I had my daughter who is now 15, she and her older brother were 15 months apart (she was born i*****).  When I delivered her via c-section, the doctor said my uterus was thin and no babies for at least 4-5 years.  Then I got pregnant with surrogate baby in 2001 and delivered her via c-section.  My new ob (new state) told me my uterus was beautiful and healed nicely.  Even gave me the go ahead to have more either as a surrogate or my own.  Reagan was born in 2008 and again...beautiful uterus and as he is checking me out I ask (to the nurses surprise) if I had one more in me down the road.  He said sure!  Now, this baby will be c-section #6.  A lot of people think I am insane (and they are probably right) but I really didn't want Reagan to grow up without a sibling close to his age.  After this one though my hubby will probably do something.  He's having a tough time with this news.  (The economy, his state job and state budget cuts has got him really down.)

My advice...do nothing permanent.  I had my tubes tied after my daughter turned 2 (1996) and then had it reversed  in 2005.  I thought I was done!  I don't regret the reversal at all and welcome each baby God blesses me with.  (Won't do the Duggar thing either-lol! although I do admire their openess about their family and how they are willing to share their beliefs in this day and age.)

Thanks DeAnna, luckily my doc said I could get pregnant it is just "risky" but  thinks it has been this way with all 3 of my pregnancies, he basically just wanted me to know that it is risky and I am so glad you said what you did about not wanting Reagan to have a sibling close in age that is one of the main reasons I would want to have another too  because there is 10 years between Lucas and his brothers and sisters and I am the youngest of 7 and I always felt like an only child because they all had each other, and I don't want Lucas to be "alone" persay.
BUT my other dilemma is that I am 39 and don't have tons of time left with my ovarian reserve!!
Anyway thank you so much for posting, it is so nice to hear from someone who has been there!! Oh and yeah people think I am insane too!

Beth,

Don't let age scare you.  I am 40 right now!  Will turn 41 in January and this baby will arrive in May.  It's just a number.  I told my friend that my husband must have super sperm to have fertilized my "40 year OLD" egg!  LOL

Go with the flow...God will lead you (or shock you in my case) into what he desires for you.  I am very grateful that Reagan will have someone.  I just didn't want him to feel alone and removed.  I have a brother 12 years younger and we are not close at all.  Really sucks.

My husband just told me the same thing about  the age thing, he told me to not stress over age just  like you said,  if we are supposed to have another then we will God has a plan regardless if I am 40 or whatever age! I plan to wait at least 6 months before deciding to try or not and go from there!! And frankly now that I am 39, the 40's doesn't seem "old" to me anymore!!

What day is your birthday? My b-day is in January too!

I will go with the flow thank you so much for the support I needed to hear it!! Be sure to keep us posted with your pregnancy so i can follow along!!

Hugs
