bleeding after c-section

I only bled vaginally from the c for a few days. Wierd...I thought that was normal? Shari

I stopped bleeding at 4 weeks but continued to have a discharge until late last week. However, I woke up yesterday morning with AF and she's in FULL FORCE! I'm wearing both tampons and pads - sooooooo bad. Not fun of after 9 months of nothing :-(

About 6-7 weeks...enought to annoy you into wearing pads because its so inconsistant.  But I functioned with ultra thins...thank god!  The good news for me was that it took a while for AF (almost 2 months after bleeding stopped) to return...so that helped give me some breathing room.  Of course it also lead DH to believe it was "time".  Hope it stops soon for you.

At two weeks I was still having those really big, bright red gushes (I know TMI), so I called the doc to see if it was normal and he said it could be but gave me Methagen to take to speed up the uterine contractions to see if we could get it to stop. Took two doses and bleeding was all but gone. I am three weeks out today and have the occasional brown/pink spotting, but for the most part the bleeding is gone.

Do you have your 6 week PP appointment soon? If not, call your doc, it can't hurt and they might be able to help you out!

With my vaginal delivers I bleed maybe a couple of day, but I bled a lot doing deliveries. With my c-section I bled for 8 weeks. It completely sucked. I am not looking forward to it this time. I least I will have a baby in my arms.

It was roughly 5-6 weeks for me!
