Revision after pregnancy?

Hello everyone, I currently have the lap band and I am looking to have my revision to RNY. I have to wait at least 8 weeks after I have my baby to get the revision. My question is has anyone ever had a revision from lap band to RNY after giving birth to a child, or any other revision? If so how did the process go, and how was the recovery time? Thanks in advance!

I've never had a revision but I don't think having a baby would affect getting a revision. The way I figure it those are two different major body systems. Maybe someone will chime in with a better answer.

 Call a surgeons office and ask.  Quick and easy.    

I would think it would be easy but remember, you cannot pick up/lift heavy objects (baby) for several weeks.  Just something to consider.

i woulld wait a little longer.... your gonna feel like crap still from having a baby... no reason to compound it by having an rny...

I don't know about a revision, but I can't imagine if I had had an infant to take care of while I was recovering from my rny.  I didn't have any complications, but it was all I could do to take care of myself those first couple of weeks.  I would suggest you give yourself more time than that before taking more on.

Hey everyone thanks for your input, I wasn't going to wait 8 weeks after my baby was born I was going to wait at least 3-4 mos lol. I was just asking has anyone ever had a revision surgery after being pregnant thats all. I'm sure there is no difference I was just curious, thanks again!
