O/T:Eid Mubarak (Ramadan) Holly...Tara..
Thank you Samara! I hope you're enjoying the holiday with your family...though you probably don't get the day(s) off unless you use your leave. DH came home yesterday, so at least he was here for the holiday...and came loaded w/cookies from Egypt that melt in your mouth.
Tara and any others out there who are celebrating - enjoy your holiday too!

Thanks Holly. You are correct, I have to use leave for it but it is well worth it. Since we did not know if Eid would be on Sunday or Monday I took of both Monday and Tuesday which worked out well because I can relax today. I had a great holiday. Yesterday me and my sister in laws went and had mani/pedis and some shopping and then our husbands joined us for dinner at Fogo de Chao which is a Brazillian Steakhouse and we had lamb, beef, chicken, salads and great dessert of Creme Brulee....probably made up for all I lost...lol
You stuck to it eating correctly - most of it at least - w/the protein. The creme brulee...yum. I am always intending to try to make some...so far haven't gotten around to it though...because I know I'd eat it.
My DH came back from Egypt loaded w/all sorts of cookis they eat there...most are good...but one in particular...I love it...it melts in your mouth. Fortunately, he only brought a small box of that one...and I'm giving away a chunk of the others before I eat them.
We had Monday/Tuesday off as local holidays where in Indonesia, and my son has the entire week off from school. I was going to take the three remaining days off but have a meeting today (Wednesday) and tomorrow...but will probably take Friday off just because I have four weeks of leave to use or lose by the end of the year....and no idea when I'll use it.
I lost about 4 kilos during Ramadan - not quite 9 pounds. Now I just hope I can keep hiding from them and maybe send a few of their friends to hang out with them. Not the 'goal' of Ramadan...but an added bonus.
