When it rains it pours (and no pun intended if you are watching the news about the SE part of the US/Atlanta area and rain).....I just got home from the pedi with Nathan and he diagnosed him with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease....he has had a low fever for 4 days, daycare called me today that his fever was up to 101 so I took him in.....no ear infection, his wheezing was in control BUT DAMNIT he has Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease....I am disgusted and angry.....

I was out of work last week one day for me as I felt like crap (and I am never out of work) and now I have to stay home with him until he has no fever for 24 hours due to crap I am sure he got at daycare....I will work from home and I hope his fever breaks by Wed...I feel so bad for him....

He is also breaking in two teeth at the same time.....and he has a little irritation on his finger that will be treated with an antibiotic.....my poor little man....

Thanks for letting me vent....a few questions...

- Any advice on HFMD?
- I am seriously going to look into a nanny at least until Nate gets here...any thoughts or advice?

TIA!

Poor little guy.  Libby had a version of that a few months back.  Her fever was up over 103 and it scared the crap out of me!!  She wouldn't eat much because it hurt so bad for her to suck on a bottle, so they told us to get a faster flow nipple so she didn't have to suck so hard.  That helps a lot.  I hope he gets better fast.  :(

Oh that really stinks! Boy you have had a rough time with poor little Nathan getting sick in his daycare, sadly parents bring their kids sick and it spreads so rapidly! We had Hand foot and mouth several times with the trio, it is very common sadly.

I am sure it is very difficult when you are on your own honestly I don't know you do it, I have absolutely hated Adam being gone the past 6 weeks so I give you so much credit doing everything on your own with Nathan all this time!    I really hope things get better ASAP!

As for the Nanny I have no read advice as I haven't ever check into to something like that but I am sure that has to be reputable agencies out there you can check into.

Hugs and a speedy recovery to Nathan! I hope you are better too BTW!
