Rice cooker lid=hospital=walking shoe

Yeah so I dropped the big glass rice cooker lid on my foot/big toe yesterday.   Since I could put any weight on the stupid thing and I couldn't bend my toe, my husband forced me to go to the hospital.

The good news is that it's not broken, the bad news is that I have to wear a walking shoe and stay off my foot.   LMAO   Riiiiiiiiiiiight, stay off my foot.  Sure.    So I am in severe agony and I cannot be saved until later this evening when my husband comes home from work.   Unfortunately that probably will be after the kids go to bed as he's working late and 3 hours away today.

End of *****fest

I wasn't even cooking!   LOL    I was cleaning up the kitchen.   Now that really should be outlawed.

That really sucks. And I am sure that walking shoe is quite lovely looking! Good Luck getting through the day. Too bad it isn't a day hubby could be home early to take over your mommy duties.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I'm with Ann - that's what you get for cleaning! lol I Did something similar with one of those giant glass jar candles last february - walking shoe for 6 weeks - I did break mine though.

Hope that the kids go easy on you today and hubby gets home earlier then planned so you can rest - then let him put away the rice cooker! lol

Hope you feel better!

That's what you get for buying a white-girl rice cooker.  JK!!!

I'm sorry you got hurt, that so sucks, especially pregnant!!  You have EVERY right for a *****fest.  Do you have anyone that can help you with the kids during the day??   I laugh when my OB asks if I've been taking it easy.  RIGHT!!  LOL.

Now, go get yourself a real Asian rice cooker and the lid will never fall off again.  ;-)

Hope it feels better soon!!

No, no help.   We haven't even found a sitter for the kids yet.   Not only are we in desperate need of a date night, we are at a loss of who to call if I go into labor at the drop of a hat and family isn't here yet.

...and now you get to explain to the world when they see you hobbling around that you dropped a lid on your toe.  They'll look at you like you're nuts while you try to explain how THAT happened.

I dropped a jar of pickles on my toe once...turned my toe nail black all the way up to the joint of my toe.  My mother was too busy laughing at me to even see if my toe was broke (I was about 16).
