hmm...worried
So I go and meet with my OB this afternoon, I am 7 week prego I believe and I noticed I can eat a little more lately. I eat small meals still so I don't think I stretched my pouch but I eat more often throughout the day... I still try to eat healthy and I get in my protein and stuff... But I fear I am going to gain weight. I lost over 100 lbs already in 5 months, I am not sure I will find out later how much more but... I don't want to gain more weight I am still about 400 lbs most likely under 400 by now I haven't been weighed in a month so...lol Has anyone still lost weight while prego as early out after surgery as myself? and after the baby does the weight loss still continue or is this pregnancy gonna make me feel as if the surgery will be a waste? I meet with a Doctor tomorrow where I had my surgery and there gonna talk to me about being pregnant and only 5 months out. IDk I just have a lot on my mind about all of this, anyone who has some info please do help me...lol
The truth is, it is impossible to recapture the first year with an RNY. Because you are so early out, you will more than likely continue to lose just make sure you get in what your body needs.
Make the absolute best out of this pregnancy. Eat and supplement for nutrition. Move around as much as you can. You can have a healthy pregnancy. It too looks like you have age on your side.
Wishing you a healthy and happy nine months.

I got pregnant at 2 1/2 mo post op and have gone from 70lbs down to 146lbs down while being pregnant. I have still not gained an ounce. I am hoping after delivery and I lose all my "baby weight" & I will drop even more! I plan on jump starting my weight loss again after delivery and get right back on track! From what the doctors tell me my baby has not been affected by my weight loss either. Baby is measuring 6.5 days and about 1/2 pound ahead so that makes me very happy! You will have to work a little harder after delivery to get the weight off I imagine but well I figure once I see my baby that part will be well worth it! I'm sure you feel the same way! I think you will do great!

I know they say that it impossible to recapture that first year, but I'm two years out this November and I can still only eat about 3 oz at a time. I believe it is because I never let myself eat bigger meals. I got pregnant with Niko 2 months post-op. I lost 68 lbs while pregnant with him(scared the crud outta me). Then, I gained 22 before giving birth. I lost all of it within two weeks. I got to goal about two months after I had him. My pouch works so well that I had to make sure I was eating enough. I've lost 15 lbs with this pregnancy. I am now 17 lbs under goal. I have to eat every hour to two hours. My head will tell me I can eat a whole plate of food, but I can still only eat about four bites before I feel discomfort--so I stop and come back to it later.
While my surgeon does talk about that honeymoon period after surgery, he believes that you are permantly restructuring your body and with a little dedication(and the bother of eating smaller meals more frequently while pregnant) the lifestyle and benefits can last forever.
Right now, I'm supposed to be eating 2000 calories per day. To come close I have to drink 700 calories from nutrition shakes.
