Just trying to get to know everyone....
So, I am about 8wks pregnant(a lil more :) )...and I am actually now just starting to be excited. We had to go in at 5 1/2 wks because I had some spotting and cramping, and all they saw was the gestational sac, but after two weeks of worrying and praying and praying and praying, I got to see my baby, its heartbeat, and hear that heartbeat.
You hear about how awesome it is to hear that heartbeat, but nothing on this earth compares to it; to hearing the sound of the child within you doing well; the child you and your spouse made because of your love for one another. 140bpm...its a beautiful sound. I only wish I had brought a recorder but I have the sound in my mind.
I thank God everyday that He blessed me, and I continue to worry even though I know God has this. I know nothing about babies, pregnancy, so I am really going to need to make friends with you guys.
I never lost all the weight i needed to lose. I lost about 120 lbs, gained back about 20lbs, and so I am still overweight during the pregnancy.
I still have twinges of cramping and of things moving around, but the doctors assure me its normal...but it still scares me. We go back for another ultrasound on next Monday(we'll be 9wks, 1 day then) and then our first REAL ob appt on 10/2(that Friday).

I am happy you got to hear and see it. It is an awesome feeling. Each time I go I have my cell phone ready and record the heartbeat now. The nurse just knows to be ready to let it play for 30 seconds for me. I am enjoying every part of this pregnancy and I am so proud of it. I did not lose all I wanted either but this baby girl wanted to be here and here she is! Being a mom seems to always get better to me. I know with my kids now at 15 and 10 and birthdays soon...I was excited and happy but it seems now that I am older now 34 that I am so much more relaxed and happy about being a mom. I am better equiped this time and so much more patient and understanding. It seems to always get better!! Good luck!!

Welcome, and Congratulations! I can't wait to hear my baby's hearbeat, hopefully later this week. You just warned me to have the cell phone or camera ready for the sound. Thanks for that.
336lbs 6/19/06 - 198 lbs - 6/19/10 138 lbs gone forever!!!
We have our miracle: Jakob Makhi born 4-15-10; 4 lbs. 10 oz. 22" long.
You guys sound like great folks! I look forward to getting to know you all. A GA get together sounds like fun! Yeah...I wish I had had the cell phone or recorder ready at the time. I was so scared walking in there...we go back on Monday for our previously normal first time ultrasound and for whatever reason, though I want to see how the baby has grown, I am still so scared walking in there. (whew!). But this time, I think I'll try the cell phone. The memory is there, but there's nothing like hearing it. I guess, in that case, early ultrasounds do have their benefits...
I am so excited for us all. May all our Little Ones do well!
