Alex's 2 weeks check-up
We just got back from Alex's 2 week check-up. He is now weighing in at 3.34KG or roughly 7.36 lbs. He is still 19.25" long. The doctor is very impressed with his movements and the fact that he lifts and turns his head already, though it is very wobbly and unsteady.
Unfortunately, Alex has thrush. So he was given an antibiotic/anti-fungal to remedy. Other than that, Alexander looks to be doing wonderfully and the doctor also assured me that you can't overfeed a newborn at this point. They will only eat what they want/need.
And of course, pics!!!

Aww! Glad things went well and that you got the answers you needed! I had to take Kellen to the ER when he was just a week under 3 months old. I fed him 4-6 oz of formula and he sucked it down quickly, then, due to reflux, he vomitted all over me. The Pediatric MD came in and said "we aren't only overfeeding ourselves these days, are we?" I was mortified! But the MD was near 300 lbs herself! When I said he had reflux, she said "yeah, you're overfeeding him way too much for a newborn" His PED thought he was right on track and he was born at 10.5 lbs. He was the one that sucked down all that formula! I didn't force it! So, I'm glad that your PED let you know that you can't over feed him yet.
He's gorgeous!

He's simply gorgeos Tabetha! Congrats!
hehehe - I too have thrush - from the huge amount of antibiotics they loaded me up with... if you are breastfeeding, you can use a natural liquid called gingian-violet... you put it on your breasts and he would get the medicine whilst nursing... it is purple and stains everything so you need to be careful with it!
