increased dumping??
Anyone find that they have an exaggerated dumping response while pg? I used to be able to eat about 1/2 c of rice/grains without any problem. A piece of toast, no problem. Lately, it seems like I dump on lots of things I have been able to tolerate without issue before pg. I'm sure it's just the hormones, but has this happened to anyone else?
yes! Having now been through 2 post op pregnancy's myself, both times I was WAY more sensitive to sugar! When not pregnant, I can pretty much eat anything. When I am pregnant, anything with over 15-20 grams of sugars, and I dump BAD!
I did find it goes away after the pregnacy. I almost wi**** would stay :)

Hey Tiffany! Yes, I am way more sensitive to carbs and/or sugar than before pregnancy. I think you're probably right about the hormones, but I am praying that it gets better at the 12-13 week mark. Only a couple more weeks to go for me!!

I am like the others. Both post op pg's I am more sensitive to carbs/sugar...about 15 grams tops. I rarely dump not pg. It does go away after pg for me too. I eat really small portions several times a day and always balance good carbs with protein. It is important to keep getting those carbs in as ketosis is really bad for baby. Good luck! Shari
Yes!! I had severe dumping the first trimester along with the vomitting. I have problems with fried foods and certain foods with sugars. I used to have no problem with splenda but now it makes me throw up along with the dumping. Anything that's diet, makes me dump - I'm assuming it's the Sucralose.
I have several food aversions now. I can eat string cheese and uncrustables with no problem!!
