Stupid question: Am I overfeeding my little one?

Oh my gosh is he adorable !!!!!!!!!!

I was / am so worried about this topic.  I wasn't worried until Cooper went to his one month visit and they told me he grew 3x the normal rate between birth and 1 month.  Then at 2 months he grew 2x the amount.... he was in the 95th percentile. 

Still they don't seem worried.  My pedi and nurse say "Feed the baby when he's hungry.  He will tell you when he's not."   They add that as long as he's not vomitting up large amounts (spit-up is normal) the it's fine. 

Cooper at 2 oz every 2 hours for the first month --- almost no exceptions !  

Sounds like you're doing just fine, Mommy.  And he's a doll!

 Thanks so much!  He has his 2 week check-up tomorrow afternoon so I'll post his results!  He was 6lbs 12oz at birth, 6lbs 4.5oz out discharge and at his 1 week check-up he was 6lbs 9oz.  I'm curious to see what he will be tomorrow :)

hes so handsome!.... i would say hes normal... jayson was 6.1 when i had him and hardley would eat an ounce when he was born.... about 8 weeks later he was taking 8 oz bottles ... just wait until you go thru a can every 3 days LOL.. dont worry hes fine!

At that age Matthew was eating every 2 hours and it was usually 2-3 oz.  As long as he isn't throwing it back up then I would think you are feeding him as he needs it.   It sounds normal to me.
