I'm only 8 weeks 4 days and I'm showing big time! This is my first why am I showing so...
I was just curious how many of you started showing early on. I am only 8 weeks 4 days and I look like I'm a lot farther along than that...not to mention this is my first. I thought that I wouldn't show until I was four or five months along...like all my other friends did...but here I am barely pregnant and looking so obvious that complete strangers are asking me when I'm due and what the sex is...it's emberassing telling them I'm not due til the end of April! Is it because I was big before and that stretched my stomach out and this has made it easier for it stretch back out for pregnancy?
Any advice is appreciatted!
Thanks,
Amelia

I'm 11 weeks and this is my 3rd and I have a lot of skin down there from losing 130 pounds and my other 2 pg's, so I think that partly makes me look a little further along than I am. When I lay down on the bed, I can feel my actual tummy poking out a little, but when I stand up, my tummy pokes out further because of the skin. I've been wearing maternity pants since about 7 weeks! I told my hubby it'll be nice when I get bigger that all this extra skin will be filled out and not just SAG like it normally does. He knows I want a serious tummy tuck when we are done having kids, all this extra skin is awful!!
Not sure why you're showing as much as you are right now though especially if it's your first (maybe it is the extra skin from losing weight?)! I didn't show with my first till I was like 5 months along (and I was 215 when I got pg and had a little belly to begin with!).

Maybe it is the extra skin...I weighed a little over three hundread before my GB and now I weigh in at 158 respectively. I gained most of my weight in my belly when I was bigger and looked so thin every where else people just assumed I was nine months pregnant : ) So, it would make since that I would fill out there faster during pregnancy.
I'm with you on the tummy tuck....as soon as we're done....I'm getting mine done too! This saggy skin is for the birds....and I love my spanks....but I've been ready to for a seperation for awhile now! : )

To be honest it's probably just bloat. For about the first 12-14 weeks you're really bloated and feel like a whale....at least I did. Normally by around 16 weeks you will have a actual baby belly starting to emerge. Right now the baby is sooo tiny and low that you wouldn't really see it. I hope that helps.
Hi Amelia,
I was the same way!! By 8 weeks I had gone from a size 8 to a 10 --- it wasn't a "baby-bump" but just bloating and problem some regular weight gain (in my hips/thighs) from adding carbs back into my diet - for the sake of my baby.
I gained 20lbs in the first 4-5 months and then only about 5 the rest of the pregnancy -- I bounced up and down for the the entire 3rd trimester.
I really had a hard time waiting for 12 weeks to tell my family --- they all thought I was gaining my weight back !!! LOL. (One of my co-workers said to me "So, you stopped going to the gym, did you?" )
It's all for a good cause!
