safe heartburn meds during pregnancy?
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and got off my Prevacid a week ago, b/c it's on on my OB's "safe meds" list. The heartburn is killimg me - I'm eating Tums like candy! I'm going back to the OB In a week and will ask about getting back on my Prevacid. Did any of you girls get the OK to take a Rx heartburn med while pg?
I hate it, because I never had heartburn even once in my life until I was about 4 months post-op ... and I've had it ever since. The Prevacid keeps it under control, though ... and boy, am I missing it!

Prevacid is a class "C". Nexium is a class "B", which is better! Check www.safefetus.com for classes of meds.
I took Nexium all the way through 2 pregnacy's.
