OT: Does your baby Bumbo?

If that's the thing I asked about Cooper being in... my cousin loves his. He was born in Feb and was using it in July but I don't know about before. His Mom brings it over when she is here.

I LOVE it and want one after I have a kid. It will so be on my wish list.

Cooper has been using it since he was about 12 weeks (1 week short of 3 months old).  At first I'd keep him in it only 10 minutes or so to make sure it wasn't hurting his head (since he's just beginning to be strong with his head holding) but he's a pro now ! 

Even though you aren't supposed to put on elevated surfaces I put him on the counter tonight as I cooked dinner.  He watched me chop veggies.  (As soon as he gets wiggly I won't do that any more)

I just bought the tray today ---   I thought it would be good to put toys on for him and it works wonderful!  I also use it to sit him in front of his "play mat" toys too --- so he sees them from a different angle. 

I told my husband we should take it tomorrow to his nephew's b-day party so Cooper could be involved in things. 

Oh -- and Cooper being so big makes me holding him and reading to him an ackward thing... so I sit him between my legs in his Bumbo and read to him that way !

 Libby wasn't a big fan of hers, but she would sit in it.  She got it as a shower gift, which is good because I think I would have been a little upset had I paid that much for it.  With that being said, I would have totally bought a used one if I found a good deal.   They are all over craigslist and in the Kid to Kid 2nd hand stores here, and in perfect condition.  Babies don't use them for long, just like their clothes and everything else they require, so you shouldn't have a problem finding one used if you want to go that route.

2 months old and I believe this was the 1st time she had been in it.  I was wrapping Christmas presents and she was so excited to watch me LOL

No clue...bumbos didn't exist when my baby was a baby...but you crack me up.  You've been reading too much Dr. Seuss!

 Well, Rowan is only 10 weeks, but I found him a used one in great condition on Craigslist (and it was orange!). I already use it a little with him since he is pretty good at holding his head up. I sit him in it for a few minutes as practice, kind of like tummy time, only I don't have to wait so long after he eats. I think it would make a great high chair at the start! One word of advice frm the person I bought my bumbo from: some have trays that attach with suction cups and some attach in a way that hooks onto the bumbo. Apparently, the suction cupped trays can come off very easily, so you might want to look for the other kind.

 Well, it was listed on Craigslist as a "rare" orange bumbo, so apparently they're hard to come by!

Nathan had one (I only found purple)...he totally loved it at first and now he does not and rocks out of it...like everyone else said, you may be able to find one on craigslist or something....here are a few of my Nathan moments in his...lol
