Hi everyone,

I am almost 3 years post op and now ready to start ttc # 2. I have a 4 year old from a prior marriage that was concieved after 4 cycles of IVF. My ex had major infertility issues and I had PCOS. It seems with the weight loss the ovulation issues have subsided...Cycle is now 28 days...
this cycle I did OPK's and had a positive test on cd 13...My question is
How do you determine ovualtion day...is it 24 hours after the LH surge??How do you calculate DPO?? I have never done this without meds before and it is amazing to me how much I forgot about this after having my daughter...

Thanks for your advice in advance,

By chance do you temp? www.fertiilityfriend.com is a great site.

However when you use the OPK's you usually ovulate anywhere from 24-36 hours after a positive...

DPO is after you ovulate... so if you ovulated on CD14 or 15 you would say DPO is 1 on CD16. If that makes sense.

You can use a regular one... or you can buy a basil body thermo... I bought this one. http://www.amazon.com/BD-524560-Basal-Digital-Thermometer/dp /B001AM43VY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1253305574&sr=8-1

Good Luck.

I'd recommend getting a book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility.' It explains a lot on how to determine ovulation, etc.

Good luck!  Hope to see a BFP from you soon!

The OPK's only help you predict ovulation, to confirm, you would need to do temping - and a basil body temperature thermometer is the most accurate. You can buy them pretty much anywhere thermometers are sold.

Hopefully you'll get your BFP before too long :)
