My MS is not bad... but I also drink diet white soda on my way to work and keep my water going all day. I also always have some fruit, protein bars, crackers with me...

Hey Liz!

Hope this morning finds you feeling some better. My MS wa**** and miss...but I did finally figure out the more water I made myself drink the better I felt. It had to be ice cold though could not do the room temperature.

As far as food went, it was so hit and miss I hate to suggest anything because one day it would work and the next it was barf city! The only thing that lasted a while was Pb and J on white bread...so healthy huh? lol Spearmint tea and gum helped too but now I cannot chew spearmint gum!!!

HTH and stick bean stick!

Some ladies said water, bu****er made my morning sickness worse. I drank a lot of fountain half diet half regular soda and like others said in most posts eating all the time. Carbs was really the only thing that made me feel ok. For nearly the whole first trimester I ate a 6 inch veggie sub on WHITE w/ american cheese and light mayo and veggies I cut it in 3 sections and ate one piece when I started feeling bad, usually that brought me to lunch. Although I'm probably a terrible example since I gained 70 pounds both times. You will be surprised around 12-13 weeks its like your refreshed and feel great again then you won't have to eat as much, I didn't care I love big healthy babies!!

Hey Liz,

Even though I'm just starting to feel nauseated, it lasts most of the day and I have been sipping on room temperature diet gingerale and that has done the trick for me. I have also been doing the keep a light snack handy routine but the nauseated feeling keeps me from really wanting to eat them.

I lived on crackers, chips, gingerale, pink lemonade, and anything cinnimon. Ginger works good too. I had ginger tea that helped and someone told me candied ginger and someone else said gignger altoids.

I thank my lucky stars for Zofran!! Also, eat something before bed like crackers or some other dry carb. Find meals that work for you (I have been living off sandwiches and bagels for two weeks). I haven't tried it but I hear anything with ginger helps... gingersnaps, gingerale, ginger tablets, etc.

Ginger altoids helped me a lot, but they are super HARD to find!!  I had to order mine online and actually have 2 tins left that I'm not going to use because I'm feeling better.   The minute I'd start feeling the throw up feeling, I'd suck on this and like 10 minutes later, I'd feel a lot better.   I used them with my 2nd pregnancy and had to order them this time around too!!  They are still in the plastic and I haven't opened them.   If you can't find any at your local stores, I'd be happy to sell you these 2 tins for $8 and send them to you!   Just PM me if you want em.   There's 75 pieces in each tin, just FYI.

Also, Ritz crackers are a must have for me right now and they are good with some peanut butter on em too.   I carry them wherever I go!   My m/s is getting quite a bit better now though, I am approaching 12 weeks and hopefully it is mostly gone soon.   It's been so hard feeling this way!  It's my 3rd pregnancy, but it's hard each time going through the m/s!   I've actually had to take a few weeks of sick leave from my P/T job because I've felt so sick.   But I think I'm going to be able to go back soon because I'm feeling better.   And you will too hopefully!!!  GL!

Hit goal weight of 140 at 13 months out from RNY!! 130 pounds GONE!

The ONLY thing that made me feel better instantly was peppermint tea and honey candies I got at an Asian food mart.  I would 100% reccomend the peppermint tea, it's my God send some days.
