Sensitive skin and acne

Lately my skin has been hypersensitive! At first I thought I was having an allergic reaction to the sunblock I used on vacation but it's so many other things! It went from having hives on my legs to having a bright red rash on my chest (which already had an ugly acne breakout on it) and now it seems like everything from my shaving cream to lotion is giving me issues! UGH!

Anyone else have this problem? My DD has eczema so we already have all natural lotion, soap, shampoo, etc. How long could this last? My skin was only slightly sensitive before.

Also, what can I use on my acne? I'll tolerate the itchy skin for a day if it means clearing up this breakout. Can pregnant women use the usual over the counter topical treatments (nothing containing retinol or other prescription grade ingredients)?

Try distilled white vinegar on a cotton swab. Smells but works. Also, a cotton swab with hydrogen peroxide. I have skin like that all the time. One of the best cleansers I've ever found is Tender Cleanser from Estee Lauder. It's around $30 per jar, but it lasts. You don't use water with it. You put it on and wipe it off with tissue.  It kept my face clear and soft...even when my worst PCOS symptoms would hit.

Hope that helps.

Hydrocortizone is what I've been using.  I thought i was coming down with PUPPPs.  It's an itchy red hives rash that pregnant women can get - usually in the 3rd trimester.  I started using the HC and it really helped.  As for the acne, I use clearasil and I also sell Mary Kay and have used the acne treatment.  I was using Retin A until I found out that I wasn't supposed to.  OOPS!  But after the first trimester, my acne completely cleared up and haven't had an outbreak since.  KNOCK ON WOOD.  Damn, I know I JUST jinxed myself!  LOL!
