Is Airborne ok while pg?
I think I'm getting a cold and usually take Airborne to help shorten the duration of my colds (it really works!). But it says on the there not to take if pregnant, unless your doc says it's ok. Any of you taken it while pg? I just took one dose of it with some water today but want to make sure it's ok, maybe I'll call my doc.
I found this online:
"Pregnant women are advised to exercise caution regarding Airborne consumption. Excess preformed vitamin A during early pregnancy has been associated with a significant increase in life-threatening birth defects. Vitamin A is indeed necessary for fetal development, but most women already carry stores of it in their fat cells. Researchers recommend that pregnant women either restrict their supplemental consumption of vitamin A to 4,000 - 8,000 IUs daily, or they should instead consume beta carotene"

well I'll definitely not do anymore Airborne, but it did taste pretty good!
So Tylenol dosen't work at all for me for pain relief, but what do you all take to help you feel better with a cold? I know there isn't really anything else besides Tylenol that we can take though with the RNY... which totally sucks. I've had to just suffer through the one or two colds I've had since I've had my RNY. It's just royally sucks now that I'm pg and feel crappy anyways, and now I have a cold to to totally zap my energy levels (what's left of my energy). I have some sf apple cider that I can heat up and drink that might help me feel a little better and take a warm shower. *sigh*
