Dr. Appointment Today
Congrats to all the recent BFP's. I'm too lazy to go back to everyone's posts. Yeah I suck, I know. : P
I had a check-up this morning. BP was rockin at 102/64, I'm up a total of 11 pounds for the entire pregnancy, and my urine was clear of sugar and protein or whatever it is they are looking for.
I did have one little issue and it was oh so fun explaining it to the hottie new intern that came into my room before the Dr. I have thrush in lady town. Nice! The Dr. said it's common in pregnancy and I shouldn't worry about it at all. They gave me a script for Diflucan and he said it should clear it right up. Let's hope so. Just imagine your worst itch and then times it by 10.
They did my fasting glucose draw today too. I'm interested to see the results of that. If anything I'm thinking my sugar is going to be low.
P.S. The kids are in love with real food. I made them homemade matzo ball soup yesterday and they gobbled it up.

LOL re explaining to the hottie about what was going on down south. I imagine it was as much fun as trying to explain needing meds for a yeast infection to a male pharmacist in Egypt - who didn't understand what a 'yeast infection' was - when a female is not supposed to even mention that the area down south exists! I even had my DH trying to translate...but he also was trying to translate w/o mentioning the EXACT area of the problem...because you also don't mention the fact that your wife has THAT area. Thank GOD I finally found a female pharmacist...and that she spoke enough English to understand what the hell I needed!
Is thrush the same thing as a normal yeast infection, or a different kind of infection? I knew you could get it in your mouth - my son had it as a baby - but didn't know it could travel to other parts of the body.

Your script should make you feel like a new person by tomorrow morning. I suffered from a similar situation for SIX LONG WEEKS due to incompetencies at my doctor's office. (He was out on medical leave due to heart/stress issues.) I had a script waiting at the pharmacy for three weeks that no one ever told me was called in. Anyhow, I took it Saturday evening around 7 pm by 7 am yesterday I felt so much better. It did leave me nauseated and I had a metallic taste in my mouth Saturday evening, but no effects left Sunday when I woke up.
