How easy was it?
How'd you ladies do with weight loss?
Also, my little one (well, not so little) is expected to arrive at about 9lbs....I'm scared! For those that had big babies, what was the experience like?
My first was 8lb 13oz and I had her all natural. No lie it hurt like hell and was in my opinion the worst pain I ever experienced in my life. Second time was also natural and she was 7lb 9oz but was much easier because I knew what pain to expect and I wasn't as nervous. Just expect pain and my advice is to get an epidural if you can.
I did not have them natural by choice both times by the time I got to the hospital it was too late.
I haven't had a post WLS baby yet...so can't help w/that part of your question.
My son was 9 lb 12 oz when he was born. I cannot have an epi because of previous back surgery, so was given demirol...which didn't do a thing for the pain...but did give the added enhancement of puking my guts up while in labor. The nurse who injected it into the IV wouldn't listen to me that I was going to be sick...and just told me to relax and it'd make the contractions feel like they did in the beginning...and I kept insisting I was going to be sick and she ignored me...and I puked all over the bed, me, the floor, my husband and anything else in the vicinity. I've never had demirol for anything else, so don't know if that's a 'normal' reaction for it...but I wouldn't do it again. When/if I get pg again, I'll have a c-section due to uterine surgery a few years ago.
All things said and done...I was w/a friend 2x when she delivered her babies and I saw how many hours actively pushing it took to get her girls delivered (and they were 7 lb and change, each) and I was worried about the delivery for that reason only...but it only took three pushes and my son was there. Even the dr and nurses were surprised at how fast he was born once I started to push.
I hope you have an easy delivery, whether you decide to go natural or w/an epi...and that your little one is born safe and healthy.

I ended up having a c-section as I have a VERY small butt and hips.
I lost 42 lbs within 2 weeks of having him. I think breastfeeding helped because I could only do it for a few weeks and when I stopped, so did the weight loss. I stopped at 158 lbs and was 158-160 when I started this pregnancy 1.5 years later.
Hope that helps a little!

Anyway...to address post baby weight loss. It's all on you. I have to admit to say that I've been lazy with my weight loss. I gained 30lb with my 1st pregnancy and lost all but 2-3lbs by her 1st birthday. This time my 2nd child is 9m (well will be in 2 days) and I'm still 15lbs away from my pre baby weight. I've got no one to blame but myself for this and it's only me that will loose the weight. If you want to loose the weight badly enough...you'll get it off.
Good luck with your upcoming delivery! Congrats!!
