My daughter has bows and purses and dolls. AND she has blocks, transformers and matchbox cars.

She's a great mixture of a girly girl and a tom boy. With having 3 brothers, and us spending alot of our time at race tracks......she loves to get dirty, play with her brothers toys and such. But she keeps her race cars in a pink purse! LOL

You aren't freaking out over nothing. I had 2 sons, then my daughter. So I was nervous too. But it all comes in time. And it's so fun to have her around. She's awesome and I love that I have another female in the house.

Periods and being a teenager? Well I guess I will just hold my breathe and go with the flow because I have no idea how my mom put up with me! LOL

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Don't be afraid.
I'll admit, I wanted a boy because I SUCK at hair! LOL But you figure it out and get good at it.
Mallory is sweetheart! But she is very rough and tumble also...she LOVES Thomas the Train and this kid took a flying leap and skinned her forehead on a sidewalk at the park and got up and kept running with blood running down her face!! I actually love having a girl because now that she is bigger she is my little buddy, she goes everywhere with me...and it's fun that she likes to 'help' me in the kitchen and stuff like that. She is starting to love baby dolls but loves to play with a remote controlled helicopter with her dad too. I don't have a boy but I would think the diapering thing might be a bit easier!

My daughter is very rough, and never seemed to fragile to me as she was always a *****unky and tall. Now every one calls her rough stuff and the one man wrecking crew. Although she is only 17 months she loves dirt, bugs and 4-wheelers. I am very girly so I wanted a girl who loves purses, shopping and doing hair so I hope my Savannah who is only 4 weeks old grows to be girly I was the opposite and didn't want boys, and didn't get them!!

You will be fine if your having a girl, it seems to come natural no matter what sex.

You are totally freaking out over nothing.  It terrifies me have a little boy :-)  I honestly don't think I would ever be sad if I didn't have a little boy.  Although, if I did I would be happy and love him just as much as I love Libby.

OMG!! I had the same fear when I was preg with my daughter!! I had a son and he was so awesome...I cried when she was born and was just sure I was going to be a horrible mother for a girl...well, now I have 3 of them and they are sooooo great! Even my son says so! They do have alot more crevices to clean when changing a diaper, but you get used to that.    I am guessing you will be finding out what youre having as soon as possible?  Blessings to you! -Jen

I am not a mother to a girl, but I was terrified of boys when I found out Aethyn was a boy...We don't have boys in our family so I have never been around them until I had Aethyn!  I have no clue what I am doing with him, but we just go day by day!  I am scared for when he gets older...I don't know how to potty train a boy, I don't know what they like to do when they are toddlers, I don't know about teen years...(That's daddy's Job...LOL!)
You will be fine if you have a girl!  She will like the things you and Jayson like!  I think you would be great with a girl...but that's my opinion!

I go back and forth with those same feelings.  I love little girls and all ther cutsy stuff, but it seems like boys are much easier to take care of.

I think that it is the hormones again....LOL.
