A Rant on a Rainy Thursday

OK So I need to vent about this - it is something petty that really bugs me.

I go to Dunkin Donuts EVERY MORNING for a decaf coffee on my way to work - it is the same woman there every day. They never say thank you or have a nice day, or give you your total - NOTHING! SO this week I was doing an experiment, I drive up to the window not say a word - hand her my $2 get my coffee and drive away - STILL she doesn't say a THING! I work in customer service so I k now it isn't right - but they still do it! I also don't like when you are ordering (they are foreign - Indian or Pakistani) that they will just start talking (more like yelling) in their native language at eachother then get ticked because you have to repeat your order. Ugh!

I also hate that they sit on the counters and sometimes the person taking your money will also get a breakfast sandwich out of the toaster without gloves! eww!

I know this is all silly but just had to get it off my chest! lol - feel better already!

You are an absolute doll...I have seen all of your posts on here and you are such a nice person.  I think in this instance...your being too nice!!  LOL  I would find me someplace else to grab me a cup of java cuzzzz I'm in a pizzy mood in the morning anyway...so I don't need any help getting that way, and it sounds like their cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired...find a new place sweetie...it might help your days start off a little brighter :)

Thanks Laura I should but I'm lazy and hate getting out at WaWa (a convenience store) I think I'll write a letter today. I am feeling crabby too. Hopefulyl it's hormones! lol

I agree that poor customer service sucks as I have worked in that field before and really whether internal or external customers you should respect them. However, with that said, it may be very likely that it is a franchise location, AND they are the owners hence their non chalant attitude and careless behavior. I had a similar situation where I made a comment about poor service and addressed my concerns but it was the owner who I did it too so w/o reporting to better biz bureau or something like that really no benefit sadly. I agree may be worth the time to look elsewhere.

I hear ya!  I have a background in customer service and impolite people drive me crazy.  Yes - we all have bad days, but when it's EVERY day its time to find a new job! 

That's why I go to Starbucks... they know my name, my drink, my son's name and even my anniversary date !!  LOL. 

And it's not just one Starbucks.... I have frequented several and they get to know you pretty quickly - what you drink, etc.  Very nice!

(And my drink costs me $2.65 plus tax -- iced Venti no water Americano)

Get a thermos, buy a bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee to make at home, done.  

Take the $2 a day you would have spent on coffee out, put it away, and take a vacation after you save some up. 

Ugh that would drive me nuts Liz! We just make our coffee at home!
My rant for today is first my husband has a cold/flu and now I have it. And our sickness fell on our ovulation days! ARGH!! And it was a perfect cycle too! So this won't be our month. The last thing you feel like doing is BDing when you are sick LOL!!

LOL At least the hubby is sick too. I was sick once and I was so drugged up on Nyquil and he still wanted it. I swear we still had it cause he said all I do is lay there so what's the difference? He says we didn't but who knows.

omg... i have the same thing here at 90% of the drive thrus... execpt at the one  dunkin donuts where the guy is a cross dressser... liz.. he never shuts up... asks me about make up... and guy problems... he has a crush on one of my co workers so always asks about him..
