big ultrasound results

hi everyone,
today i went for my big ultrasound at the hospital. i am finally having a girl after 2 boys...very excited! my little girl looked great ...no negative markers....
doctor said i still have a clot (been there for 3 months) and still havent passed it...said it will be monitored in case it turns into an infection? has this happenened to anyone else?
when my latest son was born (08) he was premature...so i will be getting progesterone shots for 10 weeks. my obgyn said he will start them at 24 weeks. after the doctor going over my ultrasound results and examining me himself he said i should be on them already??? he was going to call my doctor.
my cervix length was at 3....isnt that short?
any feedback would be appreciated!

congrats on your girl... i should be starting the shots at  17 weeks... this being said i dont think i am... ive done some research on them... there is only about a 12 % difference between them and a placebo... i saw the high risk ob and he really didnt have much faith in them... my reg dr was all for them... so like i said... im dont think ill will be starting them... the medical term for them is 17p...

Just wanted to say congrats on the girl!!!!  I have 3 boys and found out 2 weeks ago that I am having a girl!  So exciting isn't it?  Although a healthy baby boy would have been just fine also!  I'm not sure about the cervix question.  I'm sure if there was concern, the doc would let you know.
