How to loose weight after being pregnant
I haven't had a baby but have worked with many people to get back on track.
I recomend the 5 day pouch test (just google it) to break the cycle of the bad eating then get back to basics - protein first, fruits and veggies next, whole grain carbs last. Get back to exercising and live life like a recent post op - meeting your protein and fluid goals for each day.
Good luck!!

I am in the EXACT same boat as you. Quade is almost 15 months and I cant get rid of this last weight!! 20 lbs to my lowest.
Being pregnant I let too many bad habits back in and now, I cant seem to get control.
In Jan I cut cals to 1400 and lost 10 lbs in a couple of month but I can not seem to get back there!!! And I am completely nuts about it. Always stressing and then stess eating, im going mad :)
I am planning to try the 5day thing but just cant seem to actually go for it!!!
Sorry I am not help :(
Just letting you know, you are not alone.

My daughter is 11 months old and I am so depressed about my weight. It seriously is on my mind 24/7. I did 3 days of the 5 day pouch test a few weeks ago, it wasn't easy. I lost a few pounds and then gained it back within a few days. So, yesterday I started weigh****chers. It is amazing at everything I used to put in my mouth!! I am doing it on my own, rather than going to meetings. I am hoping to lose the rest of my baby weight by this. I have 8 lbs to get to where I was when I was 6 weeks pregnant. I have another 8lbs to get to my goal. It would be nice if I can do it in 3 weeks but I am not sure that is possible.
329 (pre-op) 167 (4-22-10) 150 (lowest and goal Summer 07)

As Liz has already suggested, do the 5 day pouch diet... I am on day 3 right now and it's going well.. The first two days are a serious ****** but if you can make it to day 3 there's light at the end of the tunnel... Here's the link: http://5daypouchtest.com/
I will be 5 years out from WLS in December and this is the 1st time since surgery I've done it... So far, I've lost 4 lbs according to the scales this morning... I needed a reboot after having my son... I'd gotten into some bad habits again so it was time to break them... Give it a good honest try and see what happens... It's hard but with a little willpower you can get back on track...

150# kept off over 5 years now - Thank you Dr Kim!!!
I was always the one depressed and complaining about my weight. I myself had to change my thinking (in all seriousness), there is no cure or magic pill. You have to pretty much count calories or in my case I count points, I do Weigh****chers as well. With my first daughter I gained 70 pounds and in 7 months after she was born I had lost it all. I again gained 70 pounds with my second daughter who was 4 weeks old yesterday and have started weigh****chers again last week, and I know it will come off. There is no way if you follow your points you won't lose. Exercise (I know I hated hearing it to) but it is so helpful and feels so good after its done. You have to be accountable for what goes in your mouth, and if you do the starvation method it will come back possibly with friends. It takes time to lose weight, I finally realize and believe this, and a 2-3 pound a week loss is fantastic and that means it may take a few weeks or months to actually see results. So don't give up when you start, you have to talk yourself into following your plan. I also set meal/snack times and do not eat unless it is those times. Hope you find the best way for you!
I am in the same boat.
First, I got off hormonal birth control. That was making me go up, up, up.
I got rid of grabby food in the house (carbs). I am letting myself eat what I want (within reason). I just have to make everything. If I want a cookie, I have to make it. All of a sudden, I don't want a cookie so badly.
I made sure I was taking all supplements. I gain when I don't take them. I get tired and then I eat.
My baby started walking. She is into everything. It is now go, go, go...
I did a few days of the 5 day pouch test. Shrunk the stomach back down.
Finally... My body just finally realized it was no longer pregnant or nursing. It took me a full year for my body to stop acting pregnant. I suspect this was the key and nothing I could control.
Good luck!

Thanks for your honesty and posting this....I am in your same boat....some days are better than others...I eat out of stress and boredom and I have to get control...I think Vanessa said it very well...we have to be accountable to what goes in our mouth....it is so much harder to do than to say it...ugh....I have to get my head in the game....I am considering going to a counselor too to talk it out with someone.....good luck and let's motivate each other...there is a post every Monday on scale weigh ins...it really motivates me with what the women on this board are doing to take back control....
Amen Ann! Honestly the Monday posts are what got me motivated and Jennifer is KEEPING me motivated. I have walked 4 days already this week, and I feel super fantastic and crave more walking every time. I even bought new shoes and MAKE myself exercise and not make excuses like I have always done in the past.
