Alex Geoffrey has Arrived!

Alexander Geoffrey arrived into this world just after 8:20am on Sunday, September 6th.  He weighed in at 6lbs 12 oz and 19.25" long.  Even though he was a sceduled c-section.  His delivery was a bit more difficult than the norm, as he was stuck under my ribs.  The Dr made mention that I have a heart shaped uterus and that was why he was stuck up that way and am prone to breeched babies and would probably would have never been able to delivery vaginally even if he was head-down just due to the shape of the uterus.  

After a bit of tugging and pulling, Alex arrived into this world a little scratched up but as beautiful as I imagined.  The both of us were released this morning after a 48 hour stay in the hospital.  He discharge weight was 6 lbs 4.5oz  Tomorrow, Alex is going for his circumcision...  My poor little guy.  

As for me, I'm feeling okay.  Evidently, I have a MAD case of the baby blues and have been put on an alert for PPD watch.  Thankfully, I have my mom and rest of the family up here visiting and helping out.
