for all of those who have gotten pregnant after WLS how much did you gain? I am worried about weight gain when i plan to become pregnant, i cant even get pregnant for another year until i am done with medical school i will be 31 by then. I just want to be healthy and have a healthy baby i dont want to even be unhealthy and overweight again

Everyone is soooo different.  Some that are 2 years +  out have gained less than 25 lbs.  Other - like me - gained 50 and I was only 4 months post-op.  I lost 42 lbs within 2 weeks of having my son though.  Those that gain little seem to lose it all and then some after having the baby.
This time around I'm 27 weeks with twins and have gained 23 lbs.  My ob was worried I was dieting!  LOL

I was two years post op and gained 40lbs WAY more than I wanted and I stressed, worried and complained everyday about the gain BUT at 3 weeks post baby I had lost 39lbs luckily after my c-section my eating habits went right back to good ones and my extreme munchies went away thank goodness!
I have noticed that those who are earlier out seem to gain less!
Best of luck!!

I was over a year out when I got pregnant and 1 month shy of being 2 years out when I delivered.  I only gained 2lbs.  But like pp mentioned everyone is different.

I gained 70 twice. The first time lost it all in 7 months and this time I lost 20 at delivery 4 weeks ago and am doing WW and exercising to get it all off this time. It's hard when you gain a lot so just try not go overboard like me and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Well.. this is my first pregnancy since having WLS 4 years ago.  I am 12 wks and have gained 3 pounds.  My goal is not to gain more than 20.  We shall see.  Of course, my priority is to stay healthy.  I am not dieting...just trying not to overindulge.
