I was thinking the same thing.  I'm having twin girls, but i also have a high risk pregnancy in which my twins share the same membrane (cord entanglement risks).

Sorry to hear that, lots of times its just a concern thing though , i know mine are one of each , so fraternals, which helps with a lot of potential problems, ill find out next week if my midwife will still handle the birth for me

I've been gone all weekend and just saw this.  I am pregnant with twin girls also.  I know from my research and emails that twins mostly happen when there is a fluctuation in hormones, ie: early in mentruation, and nearing the advanced maternal age thing.  :-)  I think that losing massive amount of weight takes a strange toll on the hormones and could POSSIBLY cause faternal twins too.

i too was pregnant with twins.. I got pregnant 11 weeks after surgery.. unfortunately we lost our angel baby at 8 weeks into the pregnancy but our miracle baby is going Strong and currently kicking me in the ribs at just over 25 weeks pregnant..
